62nd annual Begonia Festival held Labor Day Weekend Aug 29 – Sept 1

The Capitola Begonia Festival is held every Labor Day Weekend in Capitola. It features FUN activities that all the Family can enjoy, from a Sand Sculpture contest, a Fishing Derby, Row Boat races, and a Nautical Parade of begonia-laden floats traveling down Soquel Creek. Join in Children’s Art events, compete in the Horseshoes tournament, or decorate yourself with begonias! Watch as float builders rush to put the finishing touches on their parade entries. Or, really get involved and put together a team of family and friends to build your own float. You can watch a movie on the beach, or dance to the sounds of the band. All events are FREE to the public! For schedule and complete details visit
